Event Details
The proceeds of the event go directly to providing free medical care and health education to the chronically ill “working poor” of Baldwin County. The “Working poor” are those people who make too much money to qualify for Medicaid, yet cannot afford health insurance.
The AFC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit healthcare organization founded in 1998. Clinics are held in Bay Minette, Robertsdale and Gulf Shores. It is estimated that there are over 30,000 adults in Baldwin County with no health insurance. Physicians and nurses volunteer their time to provide the healthcare services each week in our 3 clinics. In 2018 AFC had approximately 650 patient visits in our clinics.
